Album Info:
CN's mainline in the Central Division that provides a vital artery to New Orleans, LA & Mobile, AL. The Yazoo Sub sees 30+ trains per day including Amtrak's City of New Orleans. The Yazoo Sub begins at MP 13.1 in Lakeview, TN and goes south to MP 218.6 in Jackson at North Yard.

Hotbox Detector MP 192.7
Description:
Looking south along the main on the Yazoo Sub, this section of track just north of Bentonia, MS has concrete ties and the device you see up ahead there is the hotbox defect detector at MP 192.7. Growing up, I would hear this detector at my grandparents house in Bentonia, back when it said "IC detector!", I believe it now says the obligatory "CN detector!".
